Do you have a dedicated yarn space?

No I don’t have a dedicated yarn space, I have my office space but keep my yarn in bins.. very unorganized, I’m always digging through them.

When did your love of yarn start?

The moment I started to knit.

What’s your favourite yarn weight to work with and why?

Fingering and DK

What do you design primarily?

Shawls and Neck accessories

What are your top three selling or downloaded designs?

Ghost Gardens Shawlette, Among the Shadows Shawl and Mini Solutions Scarf

How do you start a design? Where do you get your inspiration from?

I usually design based on the yarn. Or a pairing of stitch pattern to yarn.

Do you ever need test knitters or crocheters? If so, how do you find them?

I test knit all of my patterns, I do it three different ways, based on the intensity of the pattern. Ravelry, Yard pond and IG

What’s your favourite yarn composition? Which fibres do you like to work with? (eg. Merino/Silk, BFL/Nylon, etc)

SIngle Ply Merino

What do you think is the best part of knitting or crochet? How does it help you?

Knitting is therapy for me and In the beginning designing gave me a purpose when I was very sick and uncertain of my ability to maintain a full-time job

What do you think the future of knitting and crochet is? After COVID is over, do you think the craft will stay in the forefront of people’s minds?

I think that people will always knit, some people come and go but not sure that covid will change this

What’s the best yarn trend? What’s the worst?

Best trend is Mini Kits.. I love them and don’t have to pick my own colours

I find it very hard to design with Speckled and Variegated yarns, although I love them
